Elopements are all about intimacy, simplicity, and creating memories that truly reflect a couple’s unique connection. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to capture an intimate elopement at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida, and it was nothing short of magical. With its stunning architecture, vibrant gardens, and world-class art, the museum provided the perfect backdrop for a couple who wanted to celebrate their love in an environment that was as beautiful and timeless as their relationship.

As we wandered through the museum’s lush grounds, I had the chance to capture the couple in some of the most breathtaking locations. The Ringling Museum offers a variety of settings, each more stunning than the last, and I was thrilled to have so many incredible spots to photograph. From the tranquil gardens to the elegant courtyards, each space provided a different mood and energy for their photos, allowing me to capture their love in a way that felt fresh, spontaneous, and deeply personal.

One of the most memorable moments was as we explored the museum’s grand courtyard. Surrounded by towering sculptures and intricate fountains, the couple shared quiet moments of laughter and connection, and I was able to snap candid photos that felt both intimate and grand. The contrast between their love and the museum’s classical architecture made for some truly stunning images, with every shot reflecting the beauty of both the couple and the venue. It was such a joy to witness their chemistry and capture these authentic moments, with the grandeur of the Ringling Museum serving as the perfect backdrop.

What I love most about photographing elopements is the freedom to truly focus on the couple. Without the distractions of a large wedding, we had the time and space to explore the museum, take photos at our own pace, and create a collection of images that were not only beautiful but meaningful. Each photograph I took told a story—from quiet, intimate moments in the garden to the couple’s playful interaction in front of the museum’s elegant sculptures. The Ringling Museum, with its rich history and artistic charm, provided a canvas that allowed their love to shine in every frame.
